Hi my name is Keely
I'm a NASM certified personal trainer from the Bay Area and currently reside in Oakland, Calif. with my two cats Ninja and Smokey Turkey (yes, that's his actual name). I specialize in strength training with a focus on mindful body movement. I love first time gym goers who need a little help with motivation, accountability and consistency.
I fell in love with fitness while playing competitive soccer in elementary school and throughout high school (Go Eclipse!).
And then during college, I fell out of love with fitness. I became depressed and carried so much shame and fear inside that I struggled to keep a consistent diet despite having worked with food. I transitioned from the restaurant industry to tech when I received my Bachelors of Art in Communications, but somehow still felt unsatisfied.
However in 2015, I fell back in love with fitness when I trained for aerial silks in West Oakland. The circus community felt so welcoming and I soon found myself doing acro yoga, roller skating and boxing around Lake Merritt.
When I'm not doing fitness, you can often find me laughing uncontrollably at inappropriate memes, being a slave to my fur babies, and killing my plants slowly with my desperate love and attention.
